In this new training, we provide guidance on how families can better prepare for and respond to hurricanes and the threat of hurricanes in ways that diminish child suffering and trauma in the aftermath of a storm. This training also includes tips on mindfulness and other self-care techniques that promote wellness and calm amidst the storm. We will identify key factors that can promote resilience in children exposed to tropical weather threats before, during and after the storm.
