Sandra Despagne, MPH serves as the Program Manager for the Palm Beach County (PBC) Fetal and Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) Program. In this role, Sandra is responsible for the oversight of the FIMR program including case selection, facilitation of the Case Review Tea (CRT) and Community Action Group (CAG) meetings, along with the promotion of community awareness of fetal and infant mortality. Her community outreach is targeted at community residents, hospitals, clinics, healthcare professionals and academic institutions.
Sandra has over 17 years of experience in the area of maternal-child health including most recently holding the position of Program Manager of Infant Mortality at Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward . While promoting awareness about infant mortality, Sandra’s work has included involvement with the Black Infant Health Practice Initiative (BIHPI), perinatal bereavement support as a Resolve Through Sharing grief counselor and coordinator, support personnel for the DOSE: Direct One Scene EducationTM program and coordinator for the annual Forget Me Not event. Sandra has a passion for community health and her goal is for every baby to celebrate their first birthday.
